Quinns Rocks Bush Fire Brigade

Quinns Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade
Station 6549
For all Fire Emergencies 000

The Quinns Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is located in the suburb of Clarkson, approximately 35 kms north of the Western Australia state capital Perth.

The brigade station is on Hidden Valley Retreat, Clarkson (just off Hester Avenue), having officially opened in October 2010.

The brigade is owned and operated by the City of Wanneroo and was formed in 1976 under provisions provided by the Bush Fires Act 1954. Operational and capital costs are funded by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services using monies raised by the Emergency Services Levy.

Our primary role is to provide fire suppression and prevention services to the areas in the City of Wanneroo that lie outside the ESL Category 1 and 4 Boundaries. The area covered includes that north of the suburbs of Quinns Rocks and Butler through to the border with the Shire of Gingin, excluding the townsites of Yanchep and Two Rocks, the southern parts of the suburb of Jindalee and areas managed by the Dept. of Environment and Conservation.

Whilst our primary responsibility is to the residents of the City of Wanneroo, in times of emergency we are available to assist at incidents in other local government areas, in DEC reserves and inside the ESL Category 1 area as requested. Mutual aid agreements ensure that assistance is available in all areas when required.

Meetings of the brigade are held at 7:30pm on the 2nd Monday of each month at our station. The meetings are open to the public – all interested parties are welcome to attend.
